CAERDAV COMPLETES RETURN TO SERVICE CHECK ON NEW A320 FOR HESTON AIRLINES
Published Monday, 2nd June 2025Caerdav has completed a full return to service check on an Airbus A320 for rapidly growing European carrier, Heston Airlines – the first aircraft to come through St. Athan as part of an ongoing General Terms Agreement between the two companies.
Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, Heston Airlines operates a growing fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, providing short and long-term services worldwide, including wet lease, full charter programmes, special cargo projects and ad-hoc flights.
Formerly flying with Italian carrier Alitalia, the A320 underwent a full structural, hydraulics, engine and systems’ check to ensure it was fit for service with its new operator.
Valentin Ivanov, CTO at Heston Airlines, says: “It’s great to get our new working relationship with Caerdav off to such a positive start. We’ve been impressed by the facility, the experienced team, and the quality of service we’ve received so far, executing a complex C-check and maintenance clearance project on our new A320 fleet addition. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a strong partnership as our business continues to grow.”
As one of the only truly independent MROs in the UK, Caerdav was able to deliver the flexibility, slot availability and full range of services the team at Heston were looking for.
Phil Swanson, Director – Business Development at Caerdav, says: “We were delighted to welcome this first aircraft from Heston through the hangar doors at Twin Peaks as we continue to broaden our customer base, with the plan for it will be the first of many as we look to the future.”
