CAERDAV AND GLOBAL LEASING LEADER AERCAP SIGN NEW MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT
Published Wednesday, 6th August 2025Caerdav has signed a General Terms Agreement with AerCap, the world’s largest aviation leasing company, to deliver a range of maintenance services across their aircraft portfolio – with the St. Athan-based MRO’s flexible approach and in-house capabilities cited as a key factor in the deal.
Primarily working on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft, Caerdav will carry out end of lease, transition checks, entry into service and redelivery work for AerCap, utilising the extensive experience and breadth of skills of its engineering teams, alongside an ability to quickly shift focus when required, to provide a truly bespoke service.
Phil Swanson, Director of Business Development at Caerdav, says: “One of the key differentiators between Caerdav and many other UK-based MROs is our independence within the industry. With no affiliation to a particular airline or parent company, we are able to offer AerCap a tailored maintenance solution, meeting the various challenges and unforeseen work that can often arise when conducting aircraft maintenance.”
A major factor behind the deal is Caerdav’s recent investment in its back-shop capabilities, which allows it to offer customers a wide range of non-destructive testing (NDT), paint repairs, restoration and heat treatments – helping to deliver a ‘one-stop-shop’ for aircraft coming through its doors.
As the company continues to implement its comprehensive growth strategy and its available slots increase, it hopes to be in a position to support the leasing sector even further.
AerCap is the industry leader across all areas of aviation leasing, including aircraft, engines and helicopters – providing airlines with global access to a wide range of aircraft.
